God Loves You

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 (New King James Version)

“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 (New King James Version)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (American Standard Version)

The pathway to salvation is not a complicated one. It does not require you to go through a lot of steps or to take days to do. It is as simple as just confessing your sins to God, asking Him to forgive you, and to cleanse you from your unrighteousness. Scripture tells us that if we do that and believe that God raised Jesus from the dead that we instantly become cleansed. In other words, when we do that, our sins are washed away and we become whole in Him. He fills us with His love, His grace, and His mercy just because He wants to!

There is no special prayer that you have to pray. There are no magic words for you to say. All you have to do is just start praying out loud anything that comes to your mind. You can just speak to Him as you can to any one of your closest friends. If you are still not sure where to begin or what to say, then repeat this prayer out loud.

God, I need you. I confess that am a sinner, and I confess all of my sins to You. I confess Jesus as Lord and believe that He died for my sins and rose from the dead to make a way for me to have a relationship with You. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and ask that you come into my heart and wash me with the blood of Jesus to make me clean in Your eyes. I give you my life, my heart, and all that I have. I am Yours, and I offer myself to You to fulfill Your purpose for my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and begin a real relationship with You. Thank you, Father, for saving me and for making me whole through Jesus Christ. Amen.
