God Walked Through The Blood (Part 1)

This passage stresses that because of the sacrifice that Jesus made that we Christians have been perfected forever through sanctification and remission of sins (verses 14, 18, 20, 22). You can read the blog Redeemed that goes deeper into this. God no longer remembers our sinfulness in need of sacrifice for atonement (verse 17-18, 22). We have been sanctified through this new covenant for which Jesus is the Mediator.

I have read all of these passages countless times because Hebrews is one of my favorite New Testament books to read. As Christians, we have had it instilled in us exactly what Jesus did for us and how He did it. Hebrews emphasizes it in terms of the new covenant that Jesus made on our behalf so that we don’t have to go through the rituals that those in the Old Testament had to. However, the Holy Spirit showed me a new facet to this excited me and made me cry out in worship the instant He showed it.
